Gospel musician Prophet Seth Frimpong is dead

Gospel musician, Prophet Seth Frimpong popularly called the ‘Dancing Prophet’ is dead.

He died on Friday, April 24 after a short illness.

Gospel musician Brother Sammy confirmed the news to MzGee on Showbuzz on 3FM.

He narrated that the late singer, who had not been well for some time, fell from a staircase in a storey building in Kumasi last week.

According to him, he was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital were doctors disclosed that Prophet Seth Frimpong had suffered stroke.

Brother Sammy said he received a call later that the musician passed away at 2:30 am on Friday.

Asked the whereabouts of the family, he said the late musician was living alone because his wife and son are currently stuck in Italy and Australia.

Known for popular songs like ‘Mehuri So’ and ‘Just The Beginning’, Prophet Seth Frimpong has been missing from the music scene for a while due to ill-health.

He announced his presence in the Ghanaian music scene in 2000 when he released his first album, ‘Ade A Nyame Aka’.

The ‘Dancing Prophet’ followed it up with ‘Enkosi Aga’ in 2002 and ‘Mehuri So’ in 2004.

Known for popular songs like ‘Mehuri So’ and ‘Just The Beginning’, Prophet Seth Frimpong has been missing from the music scene for a while due to ill-health.
