“Laugh for a Cause” comedy show to raise funds for the poor.
Nyansapo Productions, in partnership with the Akosua Fund, presents “Laugh for a Cause” – a comedy fundraiser to support humanity and the less privileged in Ghana.
The former French ambassador to Ghana Anne-Sophie Avé is the founder of the Akosua Fund, launched to help transform lives in society.
Speaking on the Between Hours show with Naa Ashorkor, Avé said: “Just before I left Ghana, I decided to create a foundation, called the Akosua Foundation, because Ghanaians renamed me Akosua.
“The purpose was that I have been privileged to be made a development queen mother in three different communities, and I couldn’t walk away from Ghana without doing anything.
“So, in July I launched the Akosua Foundation,” she said, to help the deprived in society.
The former ambassador said that “all proceeds from the ticket sales go to the Akosua Fund to develop the communities” in which she serves as development queen.
Appearing on the same show, the comedian Jeneral Ntetia said, “It’s very important for us to laugh, but this time around we are laughing with a cause: to support something beautiful.
“Come laugh and support us as we put smiles on the faces of the less privileged in society.”
