
Sorted Charle shortlisted for the 2022 Social Entrepreneurship Competition in Tourism
Sorted Charle, the Ghanaian tourism-tech startup, has been shortlisted for the 2022 Social Entrepreneurship Competition in Tourism competition. The Social Entrepreneurship in Tourism Competition is the first worldwide competition focusing on social innovation and entrepreneurship in tourism.
By giving social entrepreneurs access to expertise and international visibility, the competition aims to empower entrepreneurs and communities in travel destinations, accelerate their growth and provide them with access to the market. The top ten finalists will receive mentorship and ten weeks of both 1-on-1 and peer-to-peer support, focusing on pitch training, human-centred design, business modelling, and impact measurement.
Shortlisted for the growth track includes the Ghanaian tourism-tech startup Sorted Charle. Sorted Chale focuses on building a community of chales (friends) who love Africa. The company curates travel adventures for individuals and groups across Africa. With a presence in Ghana and Cote D’Ivore Sorted Chale has provided curated experiences for universities like Harvard, Wharton, Chicago Booth and Virginia Darden and, more recently, has also seen a rise in celebrity guests such as Bozoma St John, Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper.
